[The Lees Update] Newsletter (June 2021)

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your love for us and your faithful partnership with our mission. God's grace kept us healthy in spite of the 7,000+ daily Covid infection rate here in the Philippines. With the limited availability of vaccines within the country, most citizens aren’t accessible yet to proper vaccinations. Most of our ministry activities have shifted to virtual formats, such as Zoom, learning management systems, and other online tools to connect with people, which occupy a great deal of our time day and night (yes, even nights due to international meetings that take place on the other side of the globe) in this prolonged pandemic. All in all, God is still on the move, and His mission didn’t stop because of the pandemic. In fact, it just took a detour, and we’re hopeful of what God is doing at this juncture of our mission work.

After the pandemic got the grip on the global scale, Eunice and I have been virtually training leaders from various countries, from Asia to Africa. In June, EAPTC held its very first virtual international retreat with national leaders and associates, currently serving and representing 15 nations of the world. Lately, our IGSL students in India required us to intercede for them due to the super-spread of coronavirus in the nation after the mass Hindu festival held at the Ganges River. The situation is more severe than one can imagine. Now there’re mass cremations of bodies throughout the country. Amidst this chaotic situation, some of our Myanmar students had to run over the border to India to escape the military coup which continues to slaughter innocent young people to create fear among citizens. Please pray for them as well when you have a chance. Yes, the whole world is suffering due to Covid-19, but some parts of the world are deeper in this devastation for different reasons.

International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) produced once again 56 graduates who were commissioned back to various sectors of ministry and society in 11 Asian nations, including Creative Access Regions such as Pakistan, India, China, Myanmar, and Vietnam among others. Kindly utter a prayer for those seasoned soul-winners to find strengths in the Lord during the pandemic and reach out to respective communities with the light of the gospel despite challenges.

Thank you for supporting our work so that we may strategically equip Christian leaders of the nations who will complete the Great Commission. As devastating as it may be, it's not the Coronavirus or any other plagues in that matter which will bring the world to an end. Matthew 24:14 brightly beacons that when the gospel of the kingdom is preached to all nations only then the end will come. This makes the task of our partnership in missions all the more significant and precious. The Lord bless you and keep you in this challenging season. Eunice and I remember you in our daily prayers.

Love and blessings,
Dr. Paul Lee (& Eunice)
