[EAPTC Update] - February 2011

Dear Friend of EAPTC,

"Your labor in the Lord is not in vain" (1 Cor. 15:58)

Greetings and love from Kenya, Africa!

At the dawn of 2011, we made research on how our Bible training center graduates are making a difference in various African communities, and I’d like to share with you what we found out. As the below graph shows, out of 1,100+ graduates produced by EAPTC’s Bible training centers as of today:

a) 70 % of them serve in full-time or part-time ministry.
b) 20% of them planted new churches of various denominational backgrounds.
c) 5% of them planted new churches under EAPTC’s church umbrella.
d) 3% of them run daughter Bible training centers.

Some of those churches and Bible training centers that are now multiplied into eight African states (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, D.R. Congo, Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique) have begun for themselves the kindergartens, literature production, microfinance banking projects, radio broadcasts and orphanage. We confirmed those reports and truly thank God for them, and let me assure you, friend, this is the fruit your prayer and financial support are bearing. To this end, we’re indeed grateful to you!

Based on my cross-cultural ministry experience of 15 years in Africa, I have recently begun to work on my Ph.D. at Oxford Graduate School as a means of integrating both practical and methodological approaches to cross-cultural discipleship. Kindly pray for God’s wisdom and financial provision.

I’ll be visiting Washington DC, Denver and Seattle during the months of March and April 2011. If you’re in the areas and the Lord permits, we’ll meet and share more about what God has been lately doing in the land of Africa. You are in our prayers!

Thankfully yours,

Paul Lee (& Eunice Jaeun)
